ABOUT

 

 

My practice revolves around an interest in power, history and memory. By bringing past, present, found and made together I playfully reflect upon authenticity, perspective and the symbols and signs of our cultural detritus. Through this I can consider how we negotiate and conjure meanings between image, object, colour, form and material.

 

I gravitate towards accessible items often encountered and used in daily life. By observing the constant bombardment of images and information surrounding us I continuously arrange, layer and edit my work. At certain points a pause occurs and I am able to reflect upon our understanding of the precarious world we find ourselves in.
